Stamp It Christmas in July Blog Hop

Welcome to my Stamp It Christmas in July post.

I’m excited to give you a small introduction to the Whimsy and Wonder Suite that will be available in the July – December Mini Catalog releasing on August 3, 2021. Note: I will update the product links when the catalog goes live.

I have to say, I had mixed feelings about this suite at first. I liked the whimsy trees, I liked some of the color combinations but I wasn’t sure of the combination together. Now I can’t wait to create more with it. The hardest part will be using the DSP. (I’m working on that problem in general Ha-Ha!)

Look at this Holly paper!!

  • Berries in Blushing Bride
  • Leaves in Mossy Meadow and Mint Macaron
  • Hint a Holographic trim

How do you get over cutting it, putting adhesive on it and covering it up to display the other side. I could use my paper with a little less stress if they banned double sided DSP.

Here’s a sneak peek at the trees. Originally, I thought I was going to die cut one or more trees to use. So I arranged on my scrap to do all at once. Might see a few more in the background. 😉

As I looked at the other stamps, 🐿 squirrel moment 🐿 I instantly envisioned the word Joy for my tree topper. As my card has had a moment to ‘rest’, I think it needs more around my tree. It might be snow or gems.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek. Don’t forget to comment using #stampitcontest for your chance to win the Looking Up Card Kit and you can be a winner just like JoAnn Porter – Congratulations! Stamp It Valentines Blog Hop

Welcome to Stamp It team Valentines Blog Hop

Thank you for stopping by today. It’s definitely been a busy time these last several months and all things considered, I’ve lost my crafting mojo. It was definitely good to play a little bit. Using only current product, I had to be a little creative. Boy, I sure do miss the large letter dies. Surprisingly I made it happen.

Firstly, my card base in Flirty Flamingo is standard A2 (5 1/2“ x 8 1/2“ scored at 4 1/4” on the 8 1/2” side) From the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack I chose two different patterns. The first for a layer on my card base (4” x 5 1/4”) has the real red scribbles. From the side in Real Red with Blushing Bride hearts, afterwards, I cut 1/2” x 2” strips for my letters.

For the center of the E and foot of the L, I cut one strip in half to be 1/2” x 1” For the “O” you can basically do whatever your creative mind thinks of. First I thought of the postage stamp punch, then the Apple Builder, I mean there are sometimes worms in Apples. Worms/slugs ‘the apple of your eye’ you get it. 🙂 I chose the Heart Punch Pack and fussy cut my snail.

All of a sudden I realized I had used NO STAMPS on this card. This is pretty #simplestamping if you will. Great start for a child, especially if you might not want to get the inks out.

Stamp It Halloween Blog Hop

The Stamp It Halloween Blog Hop is under way. Thanks for stopping by my very quick and simple post this month.

We are in stages of moving and I have been packing up my craft room. With limited supplies now available, I chose to do an alternative card using a couple scrap pieces and the stamp set from this month’s Paper Pumpkin.

? Daffodil Delight card base 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” scored at 4 1/2”

? Gorgeous Grape scrap

? Plaid Tidings scrap

? 2 1/4” Very Vanilla Circle

? Stamped the hat in black memento

? Because The Paper Pumpkin stamp set is photopolymer, I was able to curve the sentiment to fit within my circle.

? Gentle swipes of Wink of Stella

Stamp It Fall Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamp It Fall Blog Hop.

I am pleased with how this faux tile like backsplash turned out using Love of Leaves stamp set. The card base is 8 1/2” x 5 1/2” in Crushed Curry, scored at 4 1/4”. The next layer is Blackberry Bliss 1/4” smaller all around at 4” x 5 1/4”.

Next is Very Vanilla cut 3 3/4” x 4”. Scoring left to right every 1/2”, rotate Very Vanilla 90° and repeat scoring every 1/2”. This will give you a reduced scale of what replicates a tiled backsplash. I stamped after scoring to create a separation in my stamped image for the illusion of grout lines. You could stamp first and then score if you wanted.

For the centered leaf, I used my Stampin’ Ink refills and the wet wipe technique. Using a few wet wipes folded in half, begin dropping various ink spots randomly yet so different colors touch. The wet wipe now becomes your ink pad. The sentiment is stamped using Versamark and Gold embossing powder.

Don’t forget to enter like Donna did by leaving a comment using #stampitcontest along with your email. You too could win this wonderful card kit.
