Welcome to the Team Stamp It Patriotic Summer Blog Hop
In these ever changing times, I wanted to display the versatility of The Ornate Thanks Bundle applying a patriotic color scheme. You can find The Ornate Thanks Bundle along with all the supplies in today’s showcased card in my online store.
Starting first with a piece of Stampin’ Up!’s Whisper White cut at 4 3/4″ x 5 1/4″. I taped a scrap piece of paper with Washi tape and began applying Pacific Point Blue with a sponge dauber. Starting lightly from the bottom working outward and upward with my Pacific Point Blue. I love the brightness of this blue. (I have to admit I intended for my color to be slightly lighter but I can be heavy handed sometimes) Then I began working downward and still outward using Real Red with a sponge dauber as well.
Next was die cutting a floral edge using a Ornate Border dies. Because the die cut can be delicate, I sometimes use a piece of Washi tape to hold my intricate dies in place. Once I peel the Washi tap off, it can be more forgiving and delicate, not tearing your paper.
As a result of building this card, I took photos to showcase the different steps and maybe the level of stamping you feel comfortable with. Honestly, even the beginner can create this fabulous card. For instance, my #simplestamping image blossomed into an awesome card for even the avid stamper.
Added to Basic Gray Cardstock cut 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”
Stamping the sentiment using So Grateful and for all you do
Next I have added Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center of all flowers
Taking it up I added the Metallic-Edge Ribbon in Silver
Because my ribbon frayed in the above image, it’s simply upgraded with a faux bow to cover
