Stamp It Christmas Blog Hop

Welcome to the team Stamp It Christmas blog hop.

WOW!! Where has this year gone? Here we are in November already and as I bought my turkey last night, the month is almost over.

“For the young the days go fast and the years go slow; for the old the days go slow and the years go fast.”

I wanted to showcase a bit of non traditional yet festive. I think the Whimsy and Wonder Suite and Bright Baubles Bundles does just that.

DETAILS: I cut my card bases to be 4.25” x 5.50” in basic white. I then cut a basic white layer into be 1/4” smaller. Die cut the bauble FIRST. By cutting the babble/ornament first and then embossing allows the dimension of the snowflakes from the Wintry 3D embossing folder to be retained.

I cut my first strip with the holly and last strip with the snowflakes in 3/4” strips to ensure you were able to see the detail of the paper. The glitter strips were cut in 1/4” strips to not take away from the overall card but provide additional medium and pop. I know the Blushing Bride glitter is retired but I tend to hoard my paper and it’s a great match for the Whimsy and Wonder suite. The remaining  DSP cut into 1/2” strips.

I then heat embossed my greeting in Silver as my finishing touch. I just love how the card glimmers in the light.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are now inspired to craft today. Don’t forget to comment #stampitcontest for your entry into this month’s drawing for

Stamp It Christmas in July Blog Hop

Welcome to my Stamp It Christmas in July post.

I’m excited to give you a small introduction to the Whimsy and Wonder Suite that will be available in the July – December Mini Catalog releasing on August 3, 2021. Note: I will update the product links when the catalog goes live.

I have to say, I had mixed feelings about this suite at first. I liked the whimsy trees, I liked some of the color combinations but I wasn’t sure of the combination together. Now I can’t wait to create more with it. The hardest part will be using the DSP. (I’m working on that problem in general Ha-Ha!)

Look at this Holly paper!!

  • Berries in Blushing Bride
  • Leaves in Mossy Meadow and Mint Macaron
  • Hint a Holographic trim

How do you get over cutting it, putting adhesive on it and covering it up to display the other side. I could use my paper with a little less stress if they banned double sided DSP.

Here’s a sneak peek at the trees. Originally, I thought I was going to die cut one or more trees to use. So I arranged on my scrap to do all at once. Might see a few more in the background. 😉

As I looked at the other stamps, 🐿 squirrel moment 🐿 I instantly envisioned the word Joy for my tree topper. As my card has had a moment to ‘rest’, I think it needs more around my tree. It might be snow or gems.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek. Don’t forget to comment using #stampitcontest for your chance to win the Looking Up Card Kit and you can be a winner just like JoAnn Porter – Congratulations!
