Team Stamp It Mother’s Day Blog Hop

Team Stamp It Mother’s Day Blog Hop

Welcome to this months Team Stamp It Mother’s Day blog hop. I chose for todays card a fun fold I know as a crossover card. Though I didn’t use much, I was excited to open some new products coming out May 4th in the annual catalog.

You can get two cards from one sheet of cardstock cutting lengthwise the 8-1/2” side. You will see the three strips cross over each side. The top and bottom are attached to the left side. The center strip is attached on the right and passes under the circle dies creating a lock like action.

Using the Happy Mother’s Day from the Timeless Tulip stamp set, I used the night of navy Stampin’ write marker to color each word individually and stamp within my circle because the stamp was longer than my circle. I stamped off the flower once in melon mambo before stamping on my white circle.

MEASUREMENTS

Card base 4-1/4” x 11” score at 2-3/4” each side

Team Stamp It Easter Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to this months Team Stamp It Easter Blog Hop.
It’s been a busy couple of weeks between work and my friend Niki and I have been getting ready for a vendor/craft show. Wish us luck – they seem to be hit and miss. I don’t know if we are not faced with the right shoppers or if they really are not intrigued by our creations. #cardmakingisnotforeveryone

Today I’m showing you a couple of cards and treat packets using Easter Friends cling stamp set.  Also brought off the shelf is the soon to retire Timeless Tulips photopolymer stamp set which you can find here.

Team Stamp It Spring Blog Hop

Welcome to this months Team Stamp-It Spring Blog Hop. As Sale-a-Bration comes to an end on February 28th and many of us are waiting for that moment to say “spring has sprung”. I’m afraid we will be waiting a bit longer. Until then, I hope you enjoy this months tour.

I choose to focus on the Daffodil Afternoon 12” x 12” DSP (designer series paper) and share with you some #simplestamping. I personally didn’t purchase the Daffodil daydream bundle. There are too many pieces and detailed for me and the amount of time I actually get to spend stamping these days.

Two of my cards are using 4” x 4” bases and the third is standard 5 1/2” x 4 1/4” portrait.

Stamp It Valentine’s Day Blog Hop

Stamp It Valentine’s Day Blog Hop

Welcome to the team Stamp It Valentines Day blog hop

I don’t know about you, I have a hard time using my DSP (designer series paper). More times than not, it is because I have an issue with double sided paper. Especially if it has a pretty foil on one side and if there is foil on both sides. — Eeeek!! What are these companies doing to me. Hahaha!

I want to work on using that DSP and the triple fold card is a great way to get started.

  • Card base in Basic Black – 11″ x 5 ½”, score and fold at 4 ¼”, 7″, and 9 ¾”

  • Whisper White – 2 ½″ x 5 ¼”
  • Designer Paper – three pieces
  •  2 ½” x 5 ¼”
  • 1″ x 5 ¼” outside panel
  • 4″ x 5 ¼”

I could have stopped here maybe putting a sentiment on the white panel and it would have been a pretty yet #simplestamping card. The ideas kept flowing to step it up.

On the large panel – I stamped in the center ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ and on the lower purple heart ’Happy to have you in my life’. This sentiment fit so perfect, it’s like the paper was created that way. Both sentiments come from the Sweet Conversations stamp set available in the Sweet Talk suite.

Next idea – what’s something fun I’ve seen for Valentine’s Day?? Coupon book meets lottery ticket. I printed four fun winning tickets but ended up using only three. I punched using the postage stamp (I forgot to include in the supply list below). I ‘laminated’ with packaging tape. I then punched again.

i wish I had silver metallic to give it more of that lottery ticket look. Adding the scratch off coating may take a couple of coats to cover the words.

To be more realistic, I carefully stamped over the top of the scratch off coating.

Because I may have gotten a little carried away with stamping and adding the scratch tickets, I didn’t like how exposed it was when you folded the card closed. I added the belly band which measures 1 1/4” x 11” and embossed with the dotty hearts folder set.

I hope you enjoyed my card today. Don’t forget to leave a comment to be entered into this month’s drawing like

Stamp It Christmas Blog Hop

Welcome to the team Stamp It Christmas blog hop.

WOW!! Where has this year gone? Here we are in November already and as I bought my turkey last night, the month is almost over.

“For the young the days go fast and the years go slow; for the old the days go slow and the years go fast.”

I wanted to showcase a bit of non traditional yet festive. I think the Whimsy and Wonder Suite and Bright Baubles Bundles does just that.

DETAILS: I cut my card bases to be 4.25” x 5.50” in basic white. I then cut a basic white layer into be 1/4” smaller. Die cut the bauble FIRST. By cutting the babble/ornament first and then embossing allows the dimension of the snowflakes from the Wintry 3D embossing folder to be retained.

I cut my first strip with the holly and last strip with the snowflakes in 3/4” strips to ensure you were able to see the detail of the paper. The glitter strips were cut in 1/4” strips to not take away from the overall card but provide additional medium and pop. I know the Blushing Bride glitter is retired but I tend to hoard my paper and it’s a great match for the Whimsy and Wonder suite. The remaining  DSP cut into 1/2” strips.

I then heat embossed my greeting in Silver as my finishing touch. I just love how the card glimmers in the light.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are now inspired to craft today. Don’t forget to comment #stampitcontest for your entry into this month’s drawing for
